Naw man, no one is saying to **sell** them...(maybe your browser is showing my posts in spanish). I don't know anyone selling Rolands patches.. Why would one do that is beyond me.. I know selling them would be illegal, but to share them is another thing. And no If I changed brits songs names they still wouldn't be mine since that's a totally different thing. Bad comparison, but you get points for humor on that... lyrics/music are not the same as parameters... But patches? those are just sounds and once you change the waves to whatever you put in it, that's a totally different patch at that point And Roland can't do di*# about it. If it were a sample of the patch or a sample of the wave of their patches then they have a claim there but in no other way can they. And please don't tell me you've seen someone get in trouble for that specifically cuz I know you haven't. maybe selling their exact patches, but not sharing, and they have to be **exact**. They could even do that to yours!

Hmm, Now I think I know why it's such a touchy subject to you..

You don't want no one messing with your planet series huh? Let us know what you would do... lol...

But remember I'm not talking about selling anything.
I gave my brother some SRX patches for his X8 (about 20) that I changed with internal waves to substitute for SRX waves, and tweaked maybe two or three parameters to work better with the internal waves. They sound pretty good but of course not as nice as the originals but nice either way.
It's like cromio's V1.52 patches for Vsynth. He actually sampled the actual waves and duplicated the actual patches, but did he sell them? Nope! he gave them away, and now alot of people have benefit from that. You were going to make a sticky for those but you never got around to it.
So i'm not sure what the person in question was doing. don't know if he was selling patches or not but that's not what I'm talking about here.
