Hello!

I thought about a guitare mode in the new OS,like there in the G70 or THe E 80!

What do you think about?

:-P
That would mean you would have to have a Chord Recognition function on the Fantom and ,that, just would mean you would have another version of the G-70/E-80. I know what you mean but I don't think it will ever happen. :-)

I think that Roland is very buzy with there "new" V synt new???....no, JX10 was 2x JX8p, new Vsynt is 2x V synt.........

I think Roland forgot us!
They would like yeah but just wait when the next MotifXS and new products from Korg will ship. Roland will be forced to make updates (including firmware ones as well possibly new products as well) to stay competitive.

And we are asking for simple things really. I have also Boss (Roland anyway) multitracker and it has things like per song presets, per song audio pool, multi arrangements per song for drum machine.. Why those couldn't be implemented in top of a line Roland's workstations?!

After using Juno-G for some time now I'm pretty satisfied. But there are small things what wouldn't be hard to implement yet they would make big difference in convenience. The same goes for Fantoms of course.

Sorry guys, doesn't look like there's anything new for the X. Well, it's not over until the fat lady sings......

Mind you, there hasn't been a formal product release mandate yet for this winter's NAMM. There's always summer NAMM I suppose.

I wasn't expecting an annoucement for the upgrade a NAMM ...

Frankly, unless Roland does something major like the audio tracks update ... it may be a relatively quiet introduction anyway because while there are things to fix, update ... it's still not a massive list IMO ...

I'm going to write and call Roland US about this anyway ...

I think were being scammed by Roland in a way. I think the marketing (and the strange removal of the new gear link over in the v-synth thread) is a ploy to misdirect us. I think there's gonna be a major Fantom announcement that they're keeping quiet. After all the best lies do contain en element of truth, the lie being "no fantom announcement" and the element of truth being "here's the v-synth our major product this year"...

And frankly, since loys of major bands have gone batty over Fantom they'd be nuts not to offer a new product in the family or a major revision/replacement...

Eye of newt and toe of frog... etc.

That's negative thinking, Venko! What was ever accomplished with that?

"That's negative thinking"

but it's also based on history.

Fantom - no more upgrades
Fantom S - no more upgrades
Fantom X - audio upgrade, but future ?

Fantom and S had a short life cycle.

You're right; it's not negative thinking ...

... it's defeatist.

In your effort to appear prescient, you're letting Roland off the hook ...

Maybe artemio it's the only one here that could have
heard some rumours about a would be new OS.
I still hope that roland will gave us a major improvement
for the f-x with a money-cost upgrade, that will make
the x-series durable until roland will release
a new all-in-one workstation.
