how do use the sp 606 with acid or sound forge? thanks in advance. meka
Re: to mike acosta
well, i'm not mike acosta, but anyway...
the sp-606 is a sampler/groovebox with an usb connection. sound forge and acid are both sample editing software programs.
so, put the samples you want to use on your computer, edit them in acid or sound forge until you're happy with them, save them as .wav/.aiff files and then load them onto your 606 using the usb connection.
then use the 606's sequencer to create patterns with your samples.
(if your question is about how to transfer samples you created/edited by acid or sound forge from your computer to the sp-606 please state this in your reply)
greetings, b.

The SP-606 is also a a 24 bit soundcard that streams audio as well thru USB so it will show up in Acid , you can route your mix out of acid and process the mix thru the SP-606's filters and effetcs in real-time while u sample it.

Hi Lamont.
Welcome to the Roland Clan.
That sounds like a pretty serious error that would involve a number of troubleshooting steps and possible repair. I'd suggest calling Roland support as Mike isn't a tech support specialist. You might want to start a new topic on the subject as well to better get the attention of other MC-909 owners in the Clan who may have seen this error.

Hi Jo.
Welcome to the Roland Clan.
As my previous post to Lamont stated, Mike is not a tech support person. Consider directing technical support issues to the Roland support phone numbers for your region. If you're in the US, Roland provides support phone numbers on the Roland US web site. Sorry, I don't know the status of phone support in other countries.

Re: to mike acosta
MC-808 does not stream audio via USB. It only acts as a midi interface via USB or data transfer.
Jo as far as the HD not showing up. Your not giving much info. Are you on a mac pr PC ?
On the mac its pretty simple and always works. Havnt heard of any issues with an HD not showing up. Could be your USB cable , your USB port , make sure your not hooking it up thru a usb hub. Lots of things t test out but again your not giving much info.
If your on the PC youll have to navigate to the my computer section i think , the icon doesnt just show up on the desktop like it does on a mac. Im not too sure since im not a PC user.
As far as the ERROR message on the 909 , thats a serious tech service issue , you may have to send your 909 in for repair.
You can also try doing a factory reset and installing the most current OS update for it. You can download it from the Roland website and you will need a Smart Media card with at least 32mb. There are instructions on how to update your 909 within the download so please dont ask on how to do it.
Theres also another topic on this forum where i think they give the details on how to update a MC-909 as well. Try doing a search.
