d-beam? anyone?
well, since the xt has no d-beam anyone on a nice d-beam box?
I only know the alesis x25 that is "close to a dbeam" but I do not really understand why there is no d-beam in the rack..
I know the dbeam is licenced from another small company... why no cool small mini box with midi and 24 d beams in it?..
I'D like one..

this is what you get with a rackmount silly people- next you are going to ask for keys and a time trip pad on it too.

there is a time trip pad on the XT- the main display will switch to TT operation.

Re: d-beam? anyone?
right, but I light to let the hands fly over it and.. well it also looks good.. since I did, the people out there can see what I am doing..
we as electronic musicians need more "body" things .. otherwise we hide behind our gear..
I had good feedback on playing the d-beams (the only problem with the kb is : it is LARGE.. 3 octaves in size and it would be the one to take on every gig, but with 3 guys on stage you can not put 5oct. keys in clubs ..)
well, and the pad function is also cool.. but you can't really see it from the audience.. yes, this sounds strange, but imo it is a big plus to have.. and it is a lot of fun btw..

Please - no shouting. I like this discussion board so much better that Sonic State's Gas Station with it's often rude, flaming and shouting members. Let's not let this site get to that point - please.

Re: d-beam? anyone?
any idea of the prices and shipping to non-US countries? I emaild andrew .. so maybe I find out soon..
range is 150cm (!!!)
controller number settings is 4bit ,so it's #cc15 max..
well, ok.. the xt can be set to react to these, so it shouldn't be a problem.. maybe get 2 of them if the price is ok..
eyris was about 300─ (without shipping/tax), so an x25 alesis would do the job cheaper..
ok, let's check for the answer.. well, I like the way the original d-beam feels.. range, handling and no change of range (for temperature reasons) are a plus.. I never "played" that US box and it would be "buying the cat in a bag" (as we say here..)
any input is welcome on this..
or any emails sent to roland for a nice standalone box or maybe another d-beam XT model..
(yes, I know it is not very likely..)
dreams..

Re: d-beam? anyone?
I doubt Roland feel the need to make a d-beam controller box for the XT, they figure if you wanted it that bad, you would've bought the regular V. It's not really a bad idea, just not one Roland sees a need for.

RAMMANR88...
Hey dude, calm down little fella, and lay off the CAPS. My name hasn't got anything to do with woldorf pulse or whatever you are talking about... i wasn't trying to flame you either... just making a point, sorry if you cant handle an opinion, didn't know you were the police, and by the way, that retort you gave me was really silly, you silly guy. End of discussion, I'm not on here to argue over trivial things, but I do think anybody has the right to state an opinion on a post. Get off the high horse and quit being so self centered and get back to synths. My apologies.
