Using the V-Synth multitimbrally

Post by Hugo »

Have anyone experience with this? I realise the effectssection is only available to part 1, but are there any filters you can use for the other parts?

Since each patch has it's own structures - of course you can have different COSM blocks everywhere, whether they be filters or anything else you want.

I just added the new FAQ wiht tips for multi-timbral mode and layering:

Ok! Does that mean you can use different algorithms for each of the parts? But the mfx unit is conserved for part 1, no?

Wierd, just trying to figure the effect of the procedure detailed in the FAQ, if you set more that 1 patch to be played by part 1 ie the keyboard. Some really compliment each other. The other patches are govenered by the patch playing on part 1, ie if part 1 is arping, so will the rest and visa versa.

Also the controllers set for the patch on part 1 will overide the rest of the patches.

I understand what you're saying about each patch having its own structure. but during multitimbral use, sending midi to several channels, how can we access cosm effects/change cosm effect parameters on channels other than one without effecting the patch on ch 1? MUST we assign the parameter we need to edit to c1/c1 knobs. or can we just send midi automation data from a cubase automation track other than ch 1.

you gotta send program changes via cubase or whatever soft/hard sequencer you are using...

Well I'll be your huckleberry....

Well, on the V-Synth you can only edit part 1, the other ones can only have some patches assigned to them which have to be already prepared.
