Had SRX04, thought it was crappy and sent it back..

Used SRX05 for a while, but it really didnt have much more than a few usable patches.

SRX09 I still have and I love it. The flutes, plucked instruments and horns are better than any on Fantom, Motif ES or Triton..

Which SRX cards do you use.

SRX 05-Mainly used for D&B, got some good preset pads n waveforms to twist up, proper 808 drum kit n some other good drums. Decent overall card.
SRX 04 & 10- Good quality add-on patches for strings & brasses already given with your Fantom, but in my opinion not really necessary.

SRX-7 Ultimate Keys

Gotta' have the organ and synth sounds it provides.

SRX-11 Piano

Killer Piano sounds

I would personally like comments on the Brass Card and the SRX-5 for those 808 kits.

SRX 05 & SRX 10 card comments

Post by Rez 3.5 »

SRX 05 Supreme Dance. The 808(All TR Menu) drum kit on this card is no different to the kind of kit which is used by the dirty south producers (Young Jeezy, TI, Mike Jones, Slim Thug etc). Adding a bit of compression, limiting, eq & reverb you can get some phat drums! Also the Phat Trak, Soulful & Street kit presets are rocking with a little sumting. Got some extra decent waveforms (depending if you have a decent analog synth).
SRX 10 Big Brass. Like this card but i do think in retrospect i should have got Orchestra card, but it is intricately different to the inbuilt AC:BRASS section. Little bit to similar to AC:BRASS section, so try to audition before purchase.

SRX 1, 2 , 3 in an XV-5080. My keyboard at the time was a Roland A90ex with an MC80ex for a sequencer. I wanted to expand my sound palate.

SRX 6,7,9,10 in my Fantom X7.

SRX 4 in my G70 to give it more strings.

I have a second XV-5080 available for expansion.

SRX 07 - for the Rhodes and the organs

SRX 09 - for the Sitars, the ErHu and all the other Chinese string instruments. I use SRX 09 primarily for Trance in conjunction with VA's.

SRX 05 - best TR drum sounds on the market.
