Good work A-Man.
Re: BREAKING NEWS: The all-new sounds you can hardly imagine
Wouldn't a programmable SRX card be just about the sexiest expansion?

Re: BREAKING NEWS: The all-new sounds you can hardly imagine
how do we receive the discount?
Re: BREAKING NEWS: The all-new sounds you can hardly imagine
lazeeboy:
SRX technology is what it is, it's a ROM wave card with patches, there is nothing more the slot itself supports AFAIK.
saintjoetheservant:
Haven't you received my e-mail yet? I've sent it to all Planet F owners. Your mailbox filter misbehaves again!
Please send me a personal e-mail ("E-mail us" page at the store).

Agh, you should warned you're in DOES DREAMS mode
Reminds me when I had the XP-80 everyone was raving about a sampling SR-JV board...

Artemio, Sorry for my ignorance, but would you mind explaining the difference between Planet F and Planet V? I'm pretty sure I'll be purchasing Planet V, but I'm curious what Planet F would add to it.
Thank you!

The Un-dr.:
Planet V and Planet F are very different.
Planet V includes it's own waveform bank (samples and multisamples) made with Roland V-Synth, as well as patches and rhythm kits based only on this waveform bank. Planet F includes patches which are based on Fantom's internal waveform bank, and some bonus samples too. This means, V and F have totally different sounds.
Basically, Planet V includes a greater variety of sounds, simply because there are several times more material in there. But Planet F for now has more patches to offer and even more are coming in two weeks, though Planet V will also have future updates (next version will jump from 72 to 96 patches for sure).
I'd say go for both, because 1) they sound really different 2) the bundle gives you over 10% off both, and you get Planet F for like $15 in result, I think it's too cheap to miss. You can install Planet F into user memory and Planet V on card. Planet F also offers librarian format so you can select only the sounds you need at the moment and mix them with whatever you have in the user bank.

Hey, of course I did!
Planet V took me four months of full-time work, I mean it. It really has fantastic sounds inside and many classics too.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: The all-new sounds you can hardly imagine
Artemio-
after reading through the manual, am i right to conclude that i can't use the planet v with my card currently holding my samples
i'll have to load the planet v to another card then resave my samples in number slots that are after the planet v samples?
basically the samples have to remain in the order they were created in for the patches to be able to reference them correct?
if i were to load the planet v samples on my card after my personal samples the patches for planet v wouldn't sound correctly as they would reference some of my personal samples and not the planet v samples

Re: BREAKING NEWS: The all-new sounds you can hardly imagine
Fantom uses numbered sample reference, this has some advantages but also disadvantages. The bad side is, yes, you have to first install Planet V and then your own samples (and use slots from 1000 because I'll be adding more samples in free updates).

Re: BREAKING NEWS: The all-new sounds you can hardly imagine
okay thanks, how can i choose which numbers it starts at
like starting after 1000?
usually when i load a sample and create rhythm kits it automatically chooses the next numbers in sequence
