D, I am sorry, but it takes time to sample... So I guess everyone's busy these days.

Maybe are your requests too big?

Yam TX816, SY77, TG77; Kurz PC88; Rol Jv2080, VS1680, Fantom X6; Event 20/20; and my old MPC2000XL returned as midi MASTER

Inquisitive D,

I think you might be asking too much as a favour or for $5... it's a somewhat one-sided offer. Why not try offering like-for-like? Something like:

"I'll send you "x" number of samples from my gear if you can send me a similar number from your Fantom X. In particular I'd like "whatever" sounds."

Also... including the word "please" in your request would go an awful long way too.

:o)

I will do it!

And I won't ask for ANY money in return!

All I need is.....

.... a FANTOM X6/7/8/XR that someone generously had to lend me for the time it takes to do the samples... since I don't possess one (yet) ;-)

I didn't say I was interested in doing it.

I was just suggesting that if you are hoping for a response that it'd be a better idea to make a more balanced request.... which you still don't seem to have grasped, you were asking for many more than 5 sounds, in fact I seem to recall you were after 80 or 90 sounds.

... and that the magic word "please" helps!

Hi Inquisitive D, I think you are expecting too much of a favor. No one is fooling with you, nor is anyone sounding stupid here. I think its the nature of your request that leads to these responses. Please understand that you are requesting a huge favor- it probably will take some time before you meet someone who is willing and able to do it. So. please be a bit more patient.
