General Q ?!?

Well it goes like this:
im a producer that like many others tryin to make music,for fun and for profit..
until now u have used vst's ,
i thought movin to fantom but one of my friends doesnt think that there is much defrence between vst's and the hardware synths,in sound qualety.
i would like to hear your's opinion's about ,my moral isue.
deep in me i wont to buy it and i heard some samples that i did not heard in vst's. but [it will help alot if some1 can post some trance dance sounds alone or in composition]the prests not tweaked normal sound ..

So far, dealing with vst, unless you rely on pro gears
the quality of sounds you get from vst is far less than the one
you get from hardware dedicated synth machines such as fantoms.
You suggest you to go to
roland website and listen to some srx 05 srx 08
sounds demos to get an idea about dance sounds on fantom.
It would helps also to go at shop near you and listen
live the fantom and its sounds.

My 2 cents :

VSTs are better sounding and more powerful than hardware in general. Hardware is easier to get around and play with than software though. You just select a sound, and GO!

A lot of times, VSTs are more powerful and sound better - example : Reakor 5, absynth, Protoplasm, Crystal, FM7, ST2, Virsyn Tera, etc..

well i deard the srx and there nothin special there, only live sounds are good guitar,sax,and other sounds that vst cant handle that well but none of tiesto like sounds,techno synths,heavy trance synths,.
does it have a club trance sounds?like tiesto use,and van dyk,and fary corsten,,all the major trance producers.or they just make theyr own sounds?
if some 1 knows,
so what they use to make it,or where the hell they get those from what synths,im sure it was not from vst's....or does it?

I'm guessing alot of them cats are hardcore programmers, making there own noises, or having other people make the noises for them (if I had the money I would hire someone to come up with new sounds for me, since its so time consuming).. As they succeed they probably have more and more equipment, so who knows what they use, probably alot of analog stuff, mixed in with tid bits here and there (not excluding some vsts or workstations or maybe v synths or whatever)

I remember alot of people asking for a analog srx, but who knows... I myself like to save money, so I've just been building my own raw wave samples within the x, since thats all the srx's are anyways (but with the ease of just opening a preset patch or whatever)... Although I am probably going to hit a snag and have to device a better method or pick up more flash cards...

There's an interview on BT where he tells what instruments he uses. He has a LOT of plug-ins and he's 99% software it seems.

so the final quest here is u must have 1 fantom or other synth type just for the colour.and alots of software and free time,to get really good and make the big labels to notice u...

well despite all who thinks that equip is not needed im convinced that i must get the fantom reall dont know why..but i heard its sound engine and it seems this little mashine can make good sound,by programin them.
well it cant be worse,i think .
and i cant really tell if i gonna use it alot ,if this mashine worth the enormous amount of money,
some good produsers sayd :"im not buyin any equipmnet until i proove myself im good anought"and sing alot of songs.
and the moral question here is:
if u wasn't sure if ur goood anought to get this mashine and now those who have it ..."would u buy it anyway"?
