i hope the answer's yes !!

Post by tower of power »

hi people...

One day i will upgrade from the fantom-x..

My questions is:

If i get a fantom-x.. will all the data on my smart media card play exactly the same on a fantom-x.

Or will certain sounds be in different places etc etc...

Many thanks in advance guys :)

Could you please tell us more clearly, which model do you have now and which one do you plan getting?

You say "i will upgrade from the fantom-x" and then "If i get a fantom-x." ???

sorry artemio.......

Very bad typing error on my behalf...

I currently own a fantom-s.
I'm thinking about upgrading to a fantom-x6...

The only reason being for the extra storage...

I upgraded from FS to XR recently. I haven't had much time to evaluate all patches and performances thoroughly but the preliminary answer is yes. Everything seem to sound right. However, I do have a weird problem with one patch on the SRX-07 board. The patch 113 (Touchy B Fst) sounded very good on FS but on XR it's horrible, and not only I can't get it to sound right but also I can't make any sense out of it. Why should one patch (the only one) sound differently is beyond me.

Wait, if you are getting a Fantom X, there's no problem. I've sent some of my songs in SVQ to fantom X owners and they had no problems playing it.

However, if you are getting the XR, convert the songs to midi format and then save the performances. You can then load the midi file into your sequencer and load the performance in the XR.
