MIDI Tracks in Pro Tools

OK, I FINALLY found out how to put my audio tracks into pro tools. Now, i wanna take it a step futher......Can anyone tell me how to USB MIDI into separate tracks into pro tools. thanx in advance. (P.S., can u include the settings that the fantom has to be set on and the settings that pro tools has to be set on. and i am using the m box)

simply arm each track you want to record on and assign it to a different channel (which corresponds to whatever part the instrument in the fantom is on)...your settings depend on which machine you want to be the master--your fantom, or your computer...

ok, do i set it on MIDI tracks ?? and what do i set it on if I want the fantom to be master?? in both pro tools and on the fantom??

Let ProTools to be Master. Do your stuff with MIDI tracks first then make new audio track and record. If you have MIDI tracks for more then one instrument and you would like to record instruments seperatly, mute all MIDI tracks exept the one you like to record create audio track , arme it and record. Do that for every MIDI track.
