Check out this Steinway & Sons 25Mb Piano sampled at 44.1Khz

Post by elirann0 »

Guys.
I searched the net for some info about a Steinway & Sons piano for a friend of mine, and came across this:
http://www.wstco.com/pianosounds/freesoundfont.htm

Check it out.

Artemio - Loved the review on the Fantom-X's addendum Audio-Multi-Track recording board you did. It is a great tool even for those who work with computers hardware and software as I do.

Cheers,
Eliran.

Thanks, but... Review? What kind of review? I only created a site page, not a review.

Unfortunately, the download link for the Soundfont ZIP file on your page doesn't work.

Moreover - The instructions on how to use the SF are in the ZIP file, and appear in a text file there.

If you'll use any kind of Download Manager (i.e. DAP, etc.) you will not get the ZIP file - So you must disable its integration prior to the download.

Have you heard it?

I have this piano soundfont. It sounds pretty good, but it is a fairly dark piano. Also, a couple of the notes are detuned ever so slightly, giving it kind of a less professional sound but to me gives it some character. I like it specifically for that reason. It may not become your primary piano, but it definitely has a unique characteristic. I would post a short .mp3 of it if you'd like to hear it.
