We will tell u what we think if u make 2 or 3 changes to ur communication style, and i hope i am not the only 1 who agrees with this:

1) Instead of "u" we ask that you type the word "you". It is only 2 more keystrokes. I think you (u) can handle it.

2) When speaking about yourself (i), we ask that you (u) capitalize the word i (I)

3) Extra credit: The phrase "you are" such as "you are wrong" should not be abbreviated "u r".

Here is an example of the wrong way:

i think u r wrong in what u say about my typing skillz.

Here is an example of the right way:

I think you are wrong in what you say about my typing skills.

Now, to answer your question, I have been considering the same things you are talking about. The V-Synth XT is really an interesting synthesizer. Sort of unique. Even with the OASYS and Fusion on the horizon, the V-Synth still holds a unique place in the mix. $2500 retail (US), means maybe $2,000 "street" when the buzz cools down (can anyone confirm prices on the V-Synth XT?)

For that money you could choose many other synths. In fact at that price it will cost the same as the Fustion 88, which will "street" for around $2,000 as I understand it.

But the V-Synth really is an interesting proposition. I think musicians who choose it will be purchasing a wide range of sound textures that will be unavailable anywhere else. And in my book there is real value in that proposition.

Best of luck. I will be following developments with the V-Synth XT as well.

I guess they charge by the character...:-) I'm aware of the IM mindset. I just think that's where it belongs - in the world of IM. But of course that's just my opinion. Half of what I posted was for the humorous benefit of my friend mucsusn.

Hey Man,

I am alright with your communication. Some folks on this board think that they run it. If it came from the A-Man, the gentleman who runs this nifty site. Well you might want to reconsider your style of communication on this board. I can see if we were talking physics, its music!!! Please do not get discouraged from posting your questions, concerns or musical pieces that you would like to share. As far as I am concerned its just part of the cyber landscape.

Somebody has to take a stand against the decay of society. Look what happened to Rome - it was cultural decay from within that weakened the most powerful empire on earth, so much so that small unorganized bands of barbarians were able to infiltrate the boundaries of mighty Rome. i m not kidding about this. u should check it out for u r self.

But seriously, I welcome you here just as much as anyone else Vin!

Thanks for the reference 2T!

El Weezie, asking somebody to abide by a convention is not akin to "running" the board. Besides asking for some effort from vinne35, he answered the question quite nicely. And it doesn't matter whether we're talking about physics or music or any other subject. Quality discourse raises the bar in any conversation.

Vinne35, nice try, but I don't buy it. First of all, your spelling is basically sound. And linguists have demonstrated that readers will correct for a large amount of spelling errors. It is a natural process that occurs in our visual/language processing. But run on syntax is much more difficult to compensate for. This is because we process the written word in much the same fashion as we process the spoken word. So if this is the way you speak in normal conversation, then I must give you some slack. But this is where my doubt creeps in, as one could not speak one of your sentences in one breath without a concerted effort. A person's writing reflects a great deal about them, and should accurately reflect their persona. When I work with my kids on writing, and they stare at me and tell me that they can't think of anything, I challenge them with the notion that they can certainly talk a ton! And that their writing should just be a crafted extension of that speech!

So yes, by all means, post on!

But here's how I envision it if you were speaking to me instead of posting.........

"Let me see if I can get this right, OK?

I really don't have too much time on my hands with work and all. Plus I dropped out of school and can't spell all that good.

I'm getting old and slow, and just got my feelings hurt. It felt like I was in grade school with the response about the Vsynth XT. But I get over things quick.

Anyways, I'm in the room just for music. I have a good job. I work my heart out to make music and buy gear. I might not be able to type and spell that good, but I can understand the language of music and that's good enough for me."

I'm willing to bet that if you can get around a Fantom, then you can take a breath and make sentences out of your thoughts. The building blocks are all right there.

Don't worry Vin

I kant spel good two either much.

However, 2TIM316 is an abbreviation of 2nd Timothy Chapter Three Verse Sixteen, which, in itself is a reference to something else. So.....don't worry about destroying Rome it's not your fault.

And now for a little poem in the honour of 2tim

1, 1 was a race horse
2, 2 was 1, 2
1, 1, 1, 1 race
and 2, 2, 1, 1, 2
