Resampling trigger

Hi guys,

I'm trying to use the F-X's resampling feature to sample the piano track from a song. I want sampling to start exactly on the first beat of the first bar of the song, so I can drop the resulting audio back into Cubase without having to try to line the sample up manually.

Is there a way to cause sampling to start the instant I press PLAY? The resampling screen doesn't seem to notice when I hit PLAY on the Fantom X's onboard sequencer, which seems odd to me. I tried exporting the song to Cubase, setting up MTC sync, and then pressing PLAY in Cubase, but that didn't start the sampler either. All I can find in the manual is auto-triggering on a "how loud is the input signal" basis, which isn't very useful since the track starts with a dozen or so bars of silence.

Does anyone have any cunning ideas about this?
