The fix is to uninstall your current RCM version.|
Then download and install the new version ... 2.5.4 is the latest at the time I am posting this reply.

Re: Rolandcloud servers issues ?
It is all very well saying just uninstall the current version of RCM and download and install again. But the point is you should be able to update from within the app. That is what it tells you to do. The fact they release a new version of RCM every couple of weeks and it takes a complete de/re install to make it function is daft.
Also daft that the authorisation stops working when a new version of RCM is released and only works after the latest version of RCM is installed. Makes the process of using and working with the Roland Cloud service a pain.
There are many examples of better ways to run this type of subscription model.

I wasn't arguing with you.anonemouse70 wrote:It is all very well saying just uninstall the current version of RCM and download and install again. But the point is you should be able to update from within the app. That is what it tells you to do. ...
I was trying to help you by offering a workaround.
I won't make that mistake again ... better ways to spend my time.
Re: Rolandcloud servers issues ?
Nope, you've answered me, and I thank you for that. BTW the workaround did work, I've been able to download the extensions for my future fantom. Can't wait to get it.zombietactics wrote:I wasn't arguing with you.anonemouse70 wrote:It is all very well saying just uninstall the current version of RCM and download and install again. I was bemoaning the fact that Roland had made things overly complicated for all users and they could have done things differently.
Apologies if you feel I was being harsh on you, that was not my intention.

I was just going to purchase and download a sound pack for my Fantom but I keep getting the message:
"Error 525, SSL handshake failed. Cloudflare is unable to establish an SSL connection to the origin server"

Re: Rolandcloud servers issues ?
Once again can't connect to RCM servers and app does not load.
This of course means all modules cannot be verified so load in demo mode.
This does not seem to be a very stable platform to use.

Re: Rolandcloud servers issues ?
I gave some input on this on another thread based on my own experience with the disastrous RCM app.
I think the server network connections are throttled to slow the timing out and in some cases crashing the app.
Rather than give up and not install the synths via RCM here's my 2 cent on overcoming some issues
