When I started the free trial a month ago I had the option to keep the licence for an instrument of each year of my subscription. I was about to pull the trigger just now and get a 5-year subscription, but I no longer see it explicitly stated anywhere at all that I'll be able to keep a permanent license for any of the instruments with any subscription.
Did they just discontinue that offer?
If I missed the boat by less than a month then I'll be really peeved.
I probably won't sign up if that's the case.

Re: Keep 1 instrument for 1 year subscription?
I signed up in March. At that point there was already no info anywhere on the site about permanently unlocking one plugin per year of subscription. The "Loyalty Program" section on my account profile said (e.g.) "9 months until next reward", but had no details about what the reward was. That was the case until about a month or so ago, when it changed to:
IMO, you should use Roland Cloud because you think it's worth ~$20/month to have access to the entire library of plugins. Any rewards should be considered a bonus, not the reason to sign up.
Honestly I have my doubts that the rewards are a good reason to sign up anyway. Even if you get to "keep" one plugin after a year, how does that work? If they update the plugin, do you get the updates? If it stops working when you update your OS or DAW, are you out of luck? How do you install it on a new computer if you can't use the Roland Cloud app?Loyalty Program
Stay tuned for information on any earned benefits. Thanks for your continued support.

I have a lot of reasons why the permanent license is the attraction of the purchase for the context in which I'd use Roland Cloud. Rather than list them all, I'd really just like to find out if that is still part of the subscription or not. It is a deal breaker for me.

No way to know besides contacting Roland about it.andy6025 wrote:I have a lot of reasons why the permanent license is the attraction of the purchase for the context in which I'd use Roland Cloud. Mail cloud support. I’ve found them v helpful on sales and technical issues thus far.
Re: Keep 1 instrument for 1 year subscription?
I did and they said it was discontinued last year, which is really strange because I was sure it was in the subscription page last month. Oh well. For now it's a deal breaker for me. Maybe will reconsider further down the line.

It wasn’t mentioned anywhere when I signed up six months ago. Very unlikely there was anything about it on any official Roland site since then.andy6025 wrote:I did and they said it was discontinued last year, which is really strange because I was sure it was in the subscription page last month.
