Hi all.
I have had an X7 for 3 days now. When I got it, it was a clearance item because Guitar Center is getting rid of the 76 keys b/c they feel they are redundant.
So it doesn't have a manual or anything so I'm learning by reading posts on this WONDERFUL site.
My question is this. I have a track ( Trk 1 ) that has my drums in it. I put all the drums in this track b/c I was getting tired ( 4:30 am ) and just wanted to see what it would sound like before going to sleep.
Is there a way that I can seperate each part of trk 1 and put the snare on track 2 and HH on track 3 without having to redo the parts? Like a copy/paste/remove or something. The only thing my tired mind could come up with last night was that i could copy the track, and simply erase the part i don't want there by holding down the key as the copied track plays, and repeat for track 3.
Also, where can I get a manual?

Somehow got double posted sorry!!!

You can download a PDF version of the manual fron Roland US website. http://rolandus.com/products/pdf_manual ... 36&Pdf=113
Re: Seperating Parts of one Track
Thanks for the info! As soon as I was done posting, I found out where to get the manual! If I had of taken another minute, I would have seen it with out having to post. But thanks for your help. From what I can gather, this is a wonderful site, and I am proud to be a newbie member!!

Re: Seperating Parts of one Track
You can also download the PDF versions of the manual from the international Roland web site without having to register or receive an e-mail confirmation. This site is at http://www.roland.com/products/en/. IMO, it's stupid of Roland to require registration on the Roland US site (or any of their sites) as no other manufacturer requires such registration that I know of. In any case, it's a very good thing they finally did release them in PDF format though.

Re: Seperating Parts of one Track
Seperating tracks like that, require you to copy specifying TRACK to copy and also Channel to copy rather than (Channel 1-16 ALL)
seperating individial parts in a drum kit track also require you to the specify key range during copy operations.
if you dont know what key range to choose check the track in micro edit.
Results not Excuse`s
