Re: JDXA New Fall Colors
It would be awesome if the JD-XA had a led color cycle feature that could be activated via an OS update. My guess is that these pics had their colors cycled in Photoshop.
Re: JDXA New Fall Colors
Yes, it's just a bit of photoshop fun.
Re: JDXA New Fall Colors
The blue looks awesome but I wouldn't want to be staring at blue LEDs for very long.
Roland needs to release the white JDXa they built for that DJ, Hardwell?

Re: JDXA New Fall Colors
note on the JD-XA apparently you can turn the LED's OFF via the menus
Re: JDXA New Fall Colors
An amber color would have been cool and Roland usually associates orange with its brand. The red color scheme at first reminded of Korg's R-3 or something from Korg maybe the Micro-X I do not remember.

Re: JDXA New Fall Colors
I kind of like the red, I just wished that the designers would have used a light grey or white for the front panel text, my eyes, my eyes I can't read it with my eyes!
I have to have a light shining down right above the synth with the internal red led lighting turned off just so i can read it.
I have a Virus C which is around 5 feet away and I can read the front panel text on it better from that distance than the JDXA which is right in front of me.
Oh well watch gonna do?

What would have been best would have been a completely lighted panel for lettering, indicators, and switches like the Moog Voyager.

Re: JDXA New Fall Colors
Moog definitely had the right design engineers and most of them are musicians which makes me wonder if Roland's design team even play the keyboard.

Oh that is pretty. Just too bad Moog's are mono.....and expensive.windsmuse wrote:What would have been best would have been a completely lighted panel for lettering, indicators, and switches like the Moog Voyager.
But love those lit wordings ( can really see it) and love saying Moog!

I call this one the "rainbow flyer" with aluminum sides, this would be really cool.
It comes in assorted candy flavors.
My favorite would be Mango-Raspberry-Lime.

The Red is definitely not the best color choice for the JD-XA ;-)
And it is a very good idea to have different colors for each section

Re: JDXA New Fall Colors
Thanks Paulo, if one were industrious enough one could actually replace the red led lights with different colored leds per personal preference. Maybe put aluminum sides on also?....which I am partial to, but the JDXA looks great the way it is.PauloF wrote:Nice Richard!richardbates1 wrote:I call this one the "rainbow flyer" with aluminum sides, this would be really cool.

I also like the different color versions that WindMuse created, love the blue version.
