FA-08 - Studio Grand?
FA-08 - Studio Grand?
Apologies if this has already been asked. Does the FA-08 have the SN Studio Grand as well as the Full Concert Grand?

Re: FA-08 - Studio Grand?
I only know the patch name "Studio Grand" from the Fantom G. The Integra doesn't have a "Studio Grand", the Integra's SN-A grand pianos are called as follows:
Full Grand 1 89 64 1 Ac.Piano
2 Full Grand 2 89 64 2 Ac.Piano
3 Full Grand 3 89 64 3 Ac.Piano
4 Deep Grand 89 64 4 Ac.Piano
5 BrightGrand 89 64 5 Ac.Piano
6 UprightPiano 89 64 6 Ac.Piano
7 Mono Grand 89 64 7 Ac.Piano
8 Rock Grand 89 64 8 Ac.Piano
9 HonkyTonk Pf 89 64 9 Ac.Piano
So the FA will certainly have no SN pianos which the Integra doesn't have. So there won't be a Studio Grand.

Re: FA-08 - Studio Grand?
Thanks for your reply. I was hoping that it would have the Studio Grand from the RD-700NX.
Re: FA-08 - Studio Grand?
Maybe you should check what wafeform are used in that patch (in RD and Integra/FA).
The name of the patch can be changed...
;)
I can't help you with that, but maybe others can...

Re: FA-08 - Studio Grand?
I'm going to test these waveforms in my Integra shortly. I have the impression they are actually all derived from the same sampling data and are just processed a bit (mono, bright vs. mellow etc.) and do not really represent different piano samples.

Thanks,
I would be interested to hear your views.

Re: FA-08 - Studio Grand?
The question is now, if the Fa06/08 ROM , and the Fantom-G have the same waveform samples on the Patch Studio Grand.
Maybe they have, and the Studio Grand from Fantom-G can be rebuild on FA-08, if Fa-08 has those internal waveforms.

Re: FA-08 - Studio Grand?
Here I recorded the same automatic sequence for all 9 Integra-7 SN-A piano waveforms (in the order from 1 to 9). Judge yourself if you think the typical studio grand sample is among them. I think there are differences in brightness, mellowness, stereo space, but not really fundamentally different timbres which would be the case for entirely different samples (like between SRX 02 and SRX 11 for example).
