Jimmy, there are organs, of course, but they are probably PCM sounds and not the modelled Supernatural sounds...unless I missed that in the video.

On the page I linked (http://www.roland.com/products/en/FA-06 ... cts-tab-02)
All of the INTEGRA-7’s SuperNATURAL synth and XV-5080 PCM tones are onboard, plus an essential collection of ultra-expressive SuperNATURAL acoustic tones that includes pianos, organs, drums, bass, strings, and more.
Pretty sure that means they are SN-A.

Thanks, Jimmy. You may be right...we will all see the product soon. I think that list of tones reflects tones available from one of the 3 types of tones listed: Supernatural Synth, PCM and Supernatural acoustic tones. I don't think that the organ tones would be considered Supernatural acoustic or synth tones so...that leaves PCM. :)

FYI: Organs are classified as "SuperNATURAL Acoustic" on the Integra-7.

Decision: Jimmy. ...thanks JunoJohn.

It is weird though that it would be listed as an acoustic instrument. I guess I shouldn't take the word acoustic so literally. :) Also, I looked at some of the Integra-7 promotional material before posting and and saw it referenced separately from the acoustic tones which is why I made that post in the first place.

You're welcome!

I think Roland just slaps the label "Acoustic" on everything SuperNATURAL that isn't Synth or Drums.

jimmy wrote:Whats interesting the the Integra-7 has only 215 SN-A sounds so I'm unsure why a) they didn't include all of them
Some of the sounds probably require a lot more ROM than others. The thing that can add to the cost of something isn't so much the quantity of sounds, but rather their total size. Sometimes even a particular single sound can be an expensive thing to include. For example, the piano sound on a Krome is bigger than all its other sounds put together, and is presumably part of what makes it more expensive than a Kross.

That seems to be a correct statement JunoJohn

Although on the integra-7 not all Organs are SN-A, as there are a lot of legacy organ patches from the XV / Fantoms on the PCM and of course from the available SRXs

jimmy wrote: As I said before, looking forward to getting a list of all the on-board sounds, I had my eye on the Integra-7 for some of it's synth sounds like D-52 Babe and 42 Brass, so hopefully those are included on this.
Confirmed that D-52 babe is on the FA, so it looks like all the Integra-7 synth tones really are on there.

I can't wait for this synth to be released.

I got the impression its closer to the X in concept than the G. I really hope RPS is still there. That is such a useful feature.

There is no RPS on the pads, at least not yet.

There is a PART SOLO though, which made me laugh no end as a FG6 owner. I really hope RPS makes it or something similar, mainly for being able to use it to customize the machine.

Ps: just noticed that the KBD switch is on the pads. Thats a good move.

But maybe not about flagship workstations ...
This isn't a Fantom G replacement but rather a cheaper lower end board targeting the korg Krome and Yamaha MoxF market.
It is a flagship. It has all the sounds you need and all the features of a pro workstation
Roland took a streamlined approach in designing this unit.
Technology is getting cheaper and cheaper, so just because it's cheap it doesn't mean its not competing
against the likes of Kronos. Ill defenitely buy one or maybe two of these.
Roland took a keep it simple approach to designing this and they have just won me over.
But I will never sell my Fantom X6
the FA/6/8 is the flagship but the price and the weight is hard to get used to for some of us. Times have changed that all. :)
And it is nice that this instrument can now be owned by some talented composers who wouldn't have been able to afford it at the Kronos price range.
