swapping svd files and patches using librarian

Post by booyakasha12 »

Can someone walk me through some pointers with librarian?
I used to have a fantom x, just acquired it again.. I still have planet v, and planet x, as well as my own patches I saved in librarian.
Is it possible to pick and choose(some of my favorite patches from planet v for example), to my user patch, as well as some of my older patches?
I know the fantom only resds one fan.svd at a time.. How does one pick and choose? Or have a mixture from different libraries? Is this what the librarian does as well as remember what sample is part of the patch?

hello.
What you'll have to do is the following, load the fans.svd in to your Fantom. Once done you have to reset the fantom from USB storage mode to librarian. The link below will explain how to do this.

Once you have done that start Fantom Librarian. Set Mode set to Patch and press read all. This should load all patch data into the Fanton Librarian. Once you have done this you can save all patch data either as a FXL file or as a Midi file, one of which will need to be done on a duplicate page first. Do this by pressing File and you'll see duplicate on the drop down menu. One you have saved the patches they can be re loaded to the Fantom librarian. Once re loaded double click on the sound you want to load and it should load into the fantom. Once loaded save it to the location in user or memory card you want.

You can download a guide for loading sounds into your fantom from the following web page.

That was a brief description of what to do.
Hope it helps.
