I wanted to buy also an integra-7 next to the jp80, but with all this lack of 21st century support like AU editors etc I will skip it. I mean, how hard can it be to make editors if others make em also freely (see other thread).

But even AU/VST editing options aside, just a plain librian is basic need with the sound expansions imo.

I give up, been waiting since Sept12 for it

Eagerly awaiting the release of the DSI Prophet 12 though....

Not knowing anything about the detail required to make an active librarian for the JP-80, is a computer only based one possible? By that I mean something like the the PCG Tools editor for Korg synths by Michel Keijzers.

With PCG Tools, Korg's .PCG files (Programs / Combinations / Global ) are read into a standalone librarian running on a Windows PC. You create your customised .PCG file by loading in from other .PCG files and just write out your Custom.PCG onto the PC, load it onto a memory stick and read it into your Korg synth. Works for Tritons, M3s, Oasys and Kronos.

Just a thought...

Information Inside the JP80/50 are splited in many kinds of different structures working together and located in different places. It's a kind of Rubiks Cube.

Another important detail, Roland didn't provide the midi implementation for the OS V2, and according to the midi implementation of the Jupiter50 (which was released in version 2), there are some différences.
I'm not sure if with the 2 midi implementation it's possible to guess the JP80 V2.

Hey Guys-
Do you know if Roland plans on developing a librarian for the Jupiter 80?
OK, that was a pretty lame joke.
I've been reading this forum for quite some time and have learned a great deal from you guys.
It's good to be on board officially!
