It is quite interesting coming back to it, as I now have more patience than I did when I sold my original FG. I already know the quirks it has, so Im under no illusions, plus of course the used price has dropped, so know I can afford it again. However - if price was not an option, I would probably go for a Kronos.

Well, Ive had the FG for a few days now and Im getting much more out of it than I did when I originally bought one. It pays to persevere! Just waiting for some RAM to turn up and Ill be set. Cant seem to get the driver for Windows 8 working yet, though. Ooops I hadnt got the usb cable plugged in the Fantom! What a dolt! Alll working fine now - FG, Sonar X2 and Windows 8.
