Anyone else using the A88?

Post by Bruce Lychee »

Grabbed one last night and am pleasantly surprised. Keybed is good and really makes the pianos and EPs on the Jupiter more enjoyable to play for me.

I dont have an A88 but if its similar to the V Piano action i would agree with you that its a great action and would be nice to play JP80 sounds on.

I dont own a V Piano but i did play on one for a couple of hours in a music store. The keybed action was great, it handled my complex playing with very good response. This response is unavailable on the Kronos...nor on the Oasys.

Different action but still better than the RH3. Not as piano oriented as the PHAIII on the V piano and 700 NX.

So what turned you off of the VPC besides leadtime & price? Nice shot of your Kemper btw.

Wait time and lack of controllers... But if the VPC gets good reviews I will probably still get one.

Looking for a partner for the Integra?

I paid $999 out the door, but I didn't make much effort to haggle.

Thanks Bruce...seems expensive for a controller. Even a 88 key one
I think I'll stick to my A-800 PRO and PCR-500 controllers for the time being ;-)

I will I will ;-)

First... lots of time trying to figure how to connect it along with the other stuff... but a lot of fun :-)
Finally got it connected properly to the Audio Interface in a way that I can record different Parts on different tracks.

Second... trying out the sounds to get an idea...and the sounds (and sound quality) are simply AMAZING !!!
