Actually, now that you mention the EPs of the JP80, i think i will give them another try before i load the vintage synths...oh, i cant believe i havnt loaded them yet lol

billy
I haven't loaded 'em either yet Billy. Still having too much fun going through the SuperNATURALS on board! I'll save the Legends for a rainy day.

Why I was playing around and happened upon "Big Mouth Pad" and was pleasantly surprised to find all of these harmonic overtones and sonic richness going on and so went and took a look at the building blocks. It sounded pretty Phat and so I wondered if it might be one of those 30 oscillator "monsters." Nope...just 2 OSC's per in most cases. Man, that "SweepPad4" tone is just lovely!

Since I couldn't log onto RCF yesterday, I went over and trudged through about 60 pages of the Kronos RH3 keyboard issue on the KF. Blimey mate! Your "needing testicles" comment had me chuckling heartily!

My guess Bruce ordered a Flint just for that Rhodes. That is a beautiful instrument.

Man, while ya'll hyped Kronos MDS1 EPs I've been loving the JU80 EP. Adjusting the velocity curve helped to dial it in. Good luck!

Yes, the superNaturals are unbelievable. I did load the vintage stuff and i find that if i use full chords with both hands i get notes cutting off on some of the patches...anyway, i've got to load back all my trumpets etc lol

I must revise what i said over there about testicles lol

Well I was 73 pages in and there it was...a BillySynth retort to McHale's aimless poppycock rubbish about "playing technique" solving the bloody RH3 issue! This time referring to another, ahem, certain male appendage!

Depends on the context of course. If taken literally....BAD! If taken as Billy meant it figuratively...oh it's good Grammar! So good it's BA bad good! ;-D

You left out culturally...in Australia, unbelievable means excellent. As in...the guy was unbelievable, meaning he was excellent.

Aren't they always!

And while we are on the topic, the Clan's "mascot" is unbelievable! Just like the garden gnome in the lovely movie Amelie, he pops up in the most unbelievable places...At the Roland factory, at Formula 1 races, at the Vatican (just to name a few!) and in the most unbelievable guises!

Believe that! :-))

VV64 sounds fantastic. You guys who need stereo external effects should check out the Strymon pedals. A few run stereo and take line level. Also switched Mackies out for QSC10s. Monitors just don't cut it in my room. The QSCs maintain great fidelity while being far more dynamic. Perfect for the VV64 and really great for gigging portability. Also, check out Thru-tone modded expression pedals. I have the ULT which has some great adjustable parameters/functions.

I see you have the trifecta of Strymon pedals. Very nice. I use Flint & Orbit with my guitar rig. What do you have on the lower row & how are you controlling all this?

The Strymon pedals are all running from the line outs in stereo. They work great.

The bottom pedals and a wah are running mono in the VV64 effects loop: An Empress ParaEQ, which I use as a boost and EQ to get the signal a little hotter when I want. A Voodoo Wahzoo on the floor for wah an autowah. An Effectrode Tube Vibe which is temporarily being used while my Effectrode Vibra Chorus is in the shop. I'm only using it for a mild chorus/vibrato. An Effectrode Phaseomatic. The Effectrode pedals benefit from a slightly boosted signal via the ParaEQ. They add a great tube tone and are my favorite pedals. I have a Fulltone TTE on the side, but you can only plug that in when it's being used.

I can use the Thru-tone ULT to control the Strymon pedals or certain parameters on the Effectrode pedals. Right now I'm just messing with some of the Strymon pedals but I like to use it to control the Tube Vibe. Gives you a subtle wah type of effect.
