Evening all,
I know this is a bit of of a strange one but my v-synth panel no longer responds when i touch it.
On the main screen i am limited to using the arrow keys tp navigate between patch names, midi and zone fields. these are completely fine. However if i was to touch osc1,osc2,cosm1, or any of the tabs along the bottom of the screen - nothing happens.
I initially thought i could just reset to factory settings, so i clicked the "Mode" button, then nothing happens when i touch the system button on the LCD.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks in advance
Andy B
Problem - MY XT screen panel.is no longer touch sensitive
Re: Problem - MY XT screen panel.is no longer touch sensitiv
same problem here. No response from the bottom buttons.
My XT didn't power on for 2 months and I just powered up 20 mins ago.... Bad news.
I even couldn't touch the factory reset button... Sigh....
Do you have any luck ?

Re: Problem - MY XT screen panel.is no longer touch sensitiv
I have a partial solution which helps in terms of navigating the screen.
selecting d-50
select v-card button, press ctrl 2
selecting vc-2
select v-card button, press ctrl 3
selecting v-synth
select v-card button, press ctrl 1
you can also press the mode button with the numeric keypad to access, for excample, mode + 4 to access the Disk Utility menu, but i have yet to find a way to take this process any further.
As to notion of actually replacing the v-synth's screen myself, this is a risk too far for my butterfingers, but please let me know if this works for anybody else.
I have been careful with my V-synth, i.e. i have been careful when moving from rack to storage, this is when my problem occurred. I am therefore able to get some limited usage out of it, especially when i can program cc messages via my novation remote sl controller to control a few of the XT parameters, i need to take this option much further. If anyone is interested in using cc messages with their Xt, just let me know.
