Re: problems
part b,c and d I would replace with :
press the transpose button on till lit then use the "+oct -oct" buttons above it to set transpose. (unlit transpose button means the +oct - oct will transpose octaves, lit transpose button means they will transpose key)

Re: problems
Thanks - Yes this works too. I was using the transpose/octave buttons to shift on the "fly" vesus using them to do internal changes.

Re: problems
You guys are really advanced so hope this doesn't sound silly....what I need is this
When I click the transpose button and is lit, I need the the entire keyboard to be transposed to what ever value I have set with the +/- buttons
When the the transpose button is not selected and unlit I need the entire keyboard to be in A = 440
Favorite, not favorite, live., not live, single, studio or whatever one single simple ability to do a global transpose for whatever I am playing when transpose is selected then back to A =440 when it is not
Is that possible or am I simply hearkening back to the rudimentary good ol days of vintage equipment again?
I hope there is a simple answer to this very simple and basic need

Re: problems
hi gospelone,
To move from A ( 440 ) to C ( 512 ) for example, you will have to hit the transpose button and then the +OCT button 3X to raise the entire board 3 semitones. Then you will have to reverse the order to get back to A 440 (total of 8 strokes).
I have it easier to the raise/lower the board per patch or live set by going into "part view" and accessing the "pitch" menu and then raising/lowering the board for that particular song. After I have played that song in a set, my next live set song might be back at A 440.
I find using "part view" ahead of time is easier to manage playing live than hittiing the transpose and -OCT or +OCT buttons several times to get in and out of the transpose needs. Particularily when there is virtually no transistion time between songs.

Re: problems
I used to use the "favourites" also but have changed to using the "live set" mode instead. IF, for example, I have 16 favourite sounds ( 2 banks of 8 in the favourites mode) I will set up up User Live Set # 1 as my first favourite sound through to Live Set #16 as my 16th sound. To transpose these sounds where necessary, I use "part view" per sound/patch as needed. Also can control chorus/reverb/pan/output A per live set.
To see all the favbourite patches at a glance, I go to the Live Set mode and then access the "Live Set List" button (F5) to see the 12 Favourite sounds that are listed on the screen. To get to sounds 13 - 16, I scroll down. Press "select" and the favourite sound comes up on the big screen. To go back to the full list, press "Live Set List" again.
Use the Write function to name your favourtie sounds.
thanks - rohamm

Re: problems
To set up your favourittes:
a) choose a patch from the "Single Mode"
b) press "SELECT" to confirm
c) press "FAVOURITES"**** 2x - (blinking) ****
f) Hit "Register" button to register patch into desired location (Bank 1 location 1 -8)
g) press "FAVOURITES" 1x - no blinking
h) confirm chosen patch against others in "Favourites" screen
Seems to work for me.
Personally I prefer to use LIve Set Mode and set my favourite sounds up there - more flexibility if you want a "favourite" sound to be more than one patch. See earlier comment in thsi thread
