Faster way to load audio data?

Post by conradk »

I upgraded the RAM to 1GB and then got the Sinevibes Giga Pack. Loading the project takes a really long time (granted 350mb project).

Is there another way to load projects other than the USB flash drive? I thought I saw a vid with Dan Kirschner using a USB hard drive possibly? My goal is to have quite a few samples - so hopefully there is a faster way to load a project with many samples.

Also wanted to say the boot times w/1GB RAM is much faster. After installing the RAM, the internal memory is no longer recognized.

OK. I'll say "no" to my own question. Sure would be nice though.

The speed difference between starting up with 'most' of the Mega proj in internal memory is huge. (I run out of memory half way through saving to internal memory.) If Roland comes out with a new Fantom with more internal memory, I'll definitely upgrade.

Sinevibes should consider breaking up the projects with their Mega Pack so you don't have to edit the projects to get the good stuff internal.

Blimey, Dave. The guy who owns Sinevibes also runs this forum. I don't think he will be keen on you doing private deals with his creations.

Click on the link to the store in this forum and you will be able to purchase the product there.
