Bought a Fantom G6 today to compliment the X8

I know this is the Fantom X forum and I hope this is ok to post here.

Yep...after a month of waiting for a decent X6 to come up on ebay I today decided to just bite the bullet and make a trip to the keyboard store and get a Fantom G6!

Have just updated the firmware to the latest 1:50 and all went smooth! Just got to get used to playing semi weighted keys now! It feels well odd! But the sounds on the G are just awesome!

Next on the shoppigng list is a couple of SRX cards for the X8, a sustain pedal for the G6 and the add on to my Quiklok Z stand so I can mount the G6 above the X8!

Now you will have to change your name . . . Darth GX86? Darth G6X8? Darth X86G? . . . There are so many options! Maybe you should go with something a little different, like 'Garth Vader' for instance.

Hi Dart X8,
I got a X8 and a G7.

Live I'm using the G7 DIG out/Midi out, to the X8 :
- I'm using the favorite screen of the F7 to switch sounds (wish there was a txt for each registration seperate)
- My overall volume knob is the one of the X8 , (to adjust the volume of the FG seperate there is this favorite level knob, which doens't affect external parts -> please Roland don't fix this as it turns out just fine)
- Between MIDI out x8 and MIDI in of the F7 I've put a midi event processor to filter all channels out expect ch16 used for playing sounds of the G from the X keyboard.

Well, last night I purchased the rest of my toys: Z-2 addon for my Quiklok stand, Roland pedal for the G6, a decent hardcase for the G6...and...oh...that it's LOL!

A couple of SRX cards for the X8 I will get once I'm in gig land...but until then everything is just sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!

Then I bought a Fantom XR.
Now I'm going to sell my X7.
One day it may stop.....
