Hello World ....
reply with 2 years late .... there are problems??
I did the last update of S.O. 1.31, though I thought they made some changes to the sequencer .....
You say that it is very intuitive, easy ... I do not seem too long .... the editing, especially of immediate changes .... and then you realize the differences using cubase .... easy fast, and changes much less problems .... an example?
In Cubase you can directly enter the track, right click and make changes more immediate, a quantization failed well, you can drag a bar immediately ... etc. .... etc. .... in fact we can not compare the two , not really ....
If they made a style sequencer Cubase, which also does not weigh too much, and with an operating system like that, we went to a wedding ....
Here .... could not do a style sequencer cubase?
Much easier for everyone, and less problems .....
Sequencer no easy......
Re: Sequencer no easy......
They don't fix the one they got and you want a new one.. Good luck with that

Re: Sequencer no easy......
If only we could have basic mouse funtion in the piano roll and sequencer. Just highlight groups of notes and drag them around.
The M3 has this now and it works great. Its hard going any basic DAW to a workstation especially when you have a mouse sitting there like a second dick on a randy dog.

Re: Sequencer no easy......
Since we're on the knotty problem of the G's sequencer I came across a rather strange anomaly recently. I did my first song in 3/4 time using 16 bar phrases for the different verses. When modifying a phrase I had problems trying to work out how many bars I needed to copy because this editing function seemed to think it was still in 4/4 so to copy 16 3/4 bars I had to enter "from bar 1 for 12" to get it right. The readout seems to follow the 3/4 beat but if I wanted to modify in copy mode I had to divide the number of bars by three quarters which is ok as long as you only work in 4 bar segments. Is there any way for the modify phrase edit feature to recognise the proper beat time?
Also, I saved the song as an SMF File and it showed up in the the SMF folder on the G, however when I opened the project on my Yamaha PSR-S710 the folder was empty, as it also was on my computer. Have I been doing something wrong?
Any help with either problem would be much appreciated.

Re: Sequencer no easy......
Hi
for me one big limitation is to cut audio events....
yes U can cut it with the chop function but.....if I need to eliminate a part in the middle of one audio file the result is 3 files chopped.
The chop parameters are expressed in sample position and not in measure or time.
so when you cut you don't know where are U cutting (referred to the song).
So you can't reposition chopped file in time with the song.
(now I use a trick to place the original sample near the chopped samples in the track and synchronize it with my eyes !! but this is not very sample accurate !!)
I wish to have the choice to treat sequencer's track as sample or track.
