Hey all!
Some of you know that I used to have an XP-80, and I have a couple SVD banks of my custom sounds lying around. I was wondering if anyone could have a look and tell me how many patches are there and if they can be useful, maybe we should post them here for download.
The banks are attached below.
Anyone with an XP-60 or XP-80?

Thanks, Oliver!

Art, I just saw your post. I have an XP50. I believe that those three are compatible with each other (XP50/60/80), so I'll give it a try right away.
I'll come to you soon with impressions.

That would be wonderful, cyclops! Thank you.

Art, I just took a little pic at your sounds.
I can say that there are some VERY useful sounds in there.
My XP50 got itself some new soundsets and it's Christmas!
There are about 120 patches and also 2 performances in each of the two SVD files.
There are many good things in there, like basses, pads, pulsating sounds effects and so on.
Some of them use some of the expansions I don't own, so I wasn't able to listen to those.
Are these sounds your personal creations Art?

Thanks a lot for checking them out, cyclops! Yes, these are the patches I have created while experimenting with my XP-80 about 10 years ago. Very pleased to hear that you find most of them useful!
I am thinking about this now, I have about 30 patches saved in MIDI files that are here in our library:

Could you possibly spend some time to select the best and most usable 128 out of all of these (that do not use expansions, of course) and we'd put them for free download? I think this would be really awesome for those who still have one of these synths.

Yeah, why not. It seems like a wonderful idea. Once I find the time, I'll do it and I'll inform you in this thread.
