Mine are:
Just Blaze
Timbaland
Jay Dee
Rockwilder
And strangely, Swizz Beatz, although during his early days (98-00) he was arguably the worst mainstream producer in the genre. Recently, he made a total flip-flop in the quality of his music in my opinion.
How about you guys?
Favorite Hip-Hop Producers?
Re: Favorite Hip-Hop Producers?
RZA
DOMINGO
THE MOLEMEN
ALCHEMIST
and PETE ROCK
Those ones you mentioned are also GREAT producers, but to me they are more techno rap producers, not REAL Hip-Hop producers. but they are indeed GREAT. That's my oppinion.
If u don't know who some of these are, look them up, they're DOPE!

My favorites at the moment are...
Pete Rock
DJ Premier
Kanye West
Chops
Kev Brown
The Alchemist
You can say what you want about Pete and Premo but I'm almost 31yrs old and have heard ALOT of hiphop. These two catz have saved some groups in their time and provided some of the most mimicked styles to date. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's them or someone trying to sound like them. AND THEY'RE STILL AT IT!
I like Kanye because he seems to hear samples in a non-linear way. The way he embeds a sample in a track is ingeniusly scary.
Chops is the modern-day rap orchestra producer. His sound quality is crazy.
Kev Brown is the modern-day Pete Rock with his own Philly swing. Jazzy Jeff should be happy to have someone of his calibre in the A Touch of Jazz camp. He's a hot up and coming producer. Live bass. Live instruments. Whew!
Alchemist is the pin-ultimite "underground-stay underground do me" producer. Stay keeping the unda-ground bubbling.
If they personally mix and master it; Dr Dre, Neptunes, and Timbaland by far have the best sounding projects coming directly out of their camps. ex: chronic2001, bubba sparxxx-deliverence, the clipse-lord willing.
Producer honrable mention:
Erick Sermon
