FG Connects
Any word on a new version of FG Connects?
Re: FG Connects
That is a good question awurtele.
Where or where did Dan Krisher hide it?? He made a protracted "promise" to the Roland Clan community that it would be out sometime in August correct?
Well, as I look at my calendar on the wall, we're almost in October!! Dan seems to also be "mysteriously" absent from RC and there has been no other word from other Roland personnel about this matter!?!?!? But the truth is: "THEY ARE IN CONTROL" of when something (if anything) gets released or not. We are at their mercy, so to speak, and if Roland gets a hankering to withhold this, or that, or the other, all we can do is either cry on our pillows or suck it up and go on = with or without them).
I hate to be pessimistic about this whole thing but what I'm thinking might have happened is Roland has tired of all our concerns and feedback to them about the Fantom G's current state and on its future development. So they are essentially playing a little "hard ball" with us and if I didn't know any better I might even say a little "black ball" with us too.
But never fear awurtele. Maybe I have gotten it all wrong and Roland's "minor" delay is simply a situation of them doing "extra" work on the new FG Connects pack and when it finally is released we will all be astounded and amazed at the comprehensiveness of this exciting new and feature rich package called the new FG Connects Pack. >> I am naturally hoping that the latter is the case with Roland's apparent slackness, and not the former of course.
PS: If Roland is actually peeved with their customers (the very people who buy their products) and for us wanting to make the Fantom G all that it can and could be by providing them with meticulous ideas and very solid reasons and suggestions on how to achieve this goal, then all I can say is: Yammie or Korg anyone??
>> Hopefully they're not peeved with us though.
I must admit it's hard to say though, since nobody from Roland really chimes in here at RC on a regular basis.
I guess the only way to really tell is if they actually release the FG Connects pack at all, or better yet, if they actually give us anymore OS updates for our beloved Fantom G??
Time will tell, right?

Re: FG Connects
I had wondered why Dan Krisher had not been around lately. I did see where he had been sick back in the summer but he appeared to be over it. Do miss his contributions. Hopefully RC is working diligently on preparing a new version of FG Connects for us. The last two have been well received. Keep your fingers crossed; well I guess that would make playing difficult wouldn't it? Just think positive thoughts as we know that RC wants to make the FG even better!
Re: FG Connects
The download for the original FG Connects has disappeared, and I would like to get my hands on the content, given much of it is missing in v1.3.
does anyone have an alternative location for the download or is willing to email to me?..
thx
got it..thanks

Re: FG Connects
The new connects project should be interestin when it finally comes. Just hope Roland are still working on improving sequencer and arps, then the Fantom G would be the world's greatest keyboard.

Greetings fellow Mancunian
Agree with comment that arps should be inproved - a video tutorial on how to use arps when sequencing would be cool ...
