How to use the 8 sliders for organs

Post by sammycoolster »

I want to use the 8 sliders on my fantom G to control the organ sounds I mean as drawbars. How do I configure that can anyone help me please.

In the MOTIF XS by default I am able to do it when I select any organ sound but its not that way in the FG

Any ideas how I can make the sliders act like drawbars? what settings would do the trick.

You can't do this with a single patch, since there is no "virtual drawbar organ" in the G, but you can set up organ tonewheel partials as parts in live mode and then shape your organ sound using the mixer sliders.

Also, check out the Drawbars sound library from Sinevibes, it already has organ models built this way, and you can create and save your own organ sounds.

Are there any organ tones available now in the live mode which come as preset which allow me to use the sliders as drawbars ??

I set it up like this, and made patches for all the drawbars, but quickly stopped bothering when I realised you couldn't control MFX from the switches or controls, and PFX nly changed one at a time, so I couldn't make any effective Leslie. However with the multi part control in 1.3 this might be possible, I'll look into it later and post my findings.

Hi Art

I have purchased your drawbars. Can you tell me how to use the sliders and what all they control. I am looking for some nice Gospel Organ which has the drawbars.

I want to use the leslie and rotary as well in realtime.

sammycoolster:

Once you load the Drawbars project, switch to live mode and you can use sliders as drawbars on any organ live set.

Hi Art

After loading the project how can I save those live sets AND patches in my Fantom G. I dont want to load the project and save it but only the patches and the live sets.

Can you please tell me, and also if you can make a video demonstrating the full functionality of it I will be glad to have it. Thanks.

- If you want to make a new organ sound, start with a live set marked as [M] (model). To save a live set, use the WRITE button.
- If yo want to import Drawbars into your own project, you can do it using the Librarian software. Copy the live set data, then the patch data, and make sure patches are located in slots 1-128.

Hi Art

what is the patch or live set that you have used in the second example in your GX Drawbars demo and how did you achieve that sound that changes dynamically.

Which sliders did you move and how ?

On all live sets in the online demo I either moved sliders or used the modulation lever that always has some effect assigned. As for that particular #2, I need to check when I get back home (writing from the sea coast).
