SRX & Compact Flash not working together!!

have you tried the adapter on a laptop ?

I havent actually tried the adaptor in a laptop but I have tried the CF in my PC which seems to work fine. Can the Adaptor even fit into a pc/computer?

I've discovered that it's not my adaptor or the CF that is faulty, it's actually the keyboard slot that's faulty. I tried out a friends identical CF & adaptor in my keyboard and it didnt work! Then as check I tried my CF & adaptor in his keyboard and guess what - it worked!

Whats next guys??? what can i do, where can i go to get it checked out? I worried that it's goign to cost me an arm and a leg. Any ideas what the problem could be??

Well if the slot is distorted in some way, replacing it is probably the best option, using a local Roland recommended technician, unless you're confident about doing the work.
I've found that sobbing hysterically when s/he gives a quote sometimes helps.

lol but I'm genuinely upset about this unfortunate injury to my X6 and the worst is I have a gig on Tuesday...
