No, no. Any future ARX expansion would be entirely different story.
We're talking about free sound libraries.

Ability to import SMF over sysex. I'd like to be able to drop a MIDI file onto the FG editor and have it appear in the phrase list. Having to go through the whole USB drive save and import process is ridiculous.

Agreed.

I think even samples should work that way. Drag drop waves into the editor onto keys and bam, you have a multisample on your G.

You mean like the EXS24 of Logic works?...yeah, that would be nice...

Please Roland, surprise me with a new, fantastic OS update that would make me lovin the G again, I love tha sound at most points but the're too many inconsistencies which make it hard to like the G all-out!

I was looking at the FG MIDI implementation and doesn't look like either option is available. The sequencer data and sample waveform data are never xmitted/received over sysex.

Someone should combine of these requests into one list.

What I really could use right now:
1. Record multiple internal MIDI sequence tracks (using internal patches and ARX patches) directly to multiple audio tracks.
2. The ability to export these audio tracks to be used in a DAW. This is already possible, but I just want a seperate export audio folder (which contains these audio tracks) located in the project folder.

So, what do you think about the breaking news from NAMM?
What do you think about the newly released Fantom-G OS version 2.0?
Isn't it fabulous? What about the changelog? Isn't it just perfect that they addressed everything that we've been asking for?...

Well, I forgot... There's no OS version 2.0. Maybe 2010 then...

When in Part Select mode pressing [Shift]+[Pad#] = Select track.

When in track mute mode pressing [Shift]+[Pad#] = Solo.

Think about that for a while.

I've thought about it, but you don't have 128 pads...-)

Yes, but that's what we have pad banks for. Something like this is already implemented with track mute. Previous OS versions didn't allow track muting of all tracks. Now in 1.20, with the help of pad banks, we can (just check the supplementary pdf manual that accompanies the version 1.20 update). The same can be done for track selection and track soloing, for all 152 tracks. :-)

jessej:
When in Part Select mode pressing [Shift]+[Pad#] = Select track.
Even better: In the Song Play or Song Edit screens, press NUMERIC and then type the number of the track you want to jump to.

Just like the MV :)
When in track mute mode pressing [Shift]+[Pad#] = Solo.
Definitely.

**jessej:** “When in Part Select mode pressing [Shift]+[Pad#] = Select track.”

My thought was to somehow be in a mode where you can both select the track to record on and select the part to record.

“When in track mute mode pressing [Shift]+[Pad#] = Solo.”

Of course this needs a way to "get out" from the solo mode without having to enable all 151 other tracks too... and multiple channels could be selected for solo too.

jessej: exiting from solo mode could be done easily maybe by pressing a pad combination or something like this. The main idea here is for Roland to implement the solo function, something that I think they'll do finally.
