Change sample default name from User to...

Post by Quinnx. »

Ability to have samples automatically named as SongX 0001,SongX 0002 etc..(name would be taken from the song name)

Or

The ability to change the default USER title to something else.
This could be done by having a field in the SAMPLE EDIT/PARAM called DEFAULT NAME:User <----- this can be changed to any alpha numeric value and is used for all other samples created on the G.

DEFAULT NAME:VOCALS

Resulting wavs.. VOCALS 001 VOCALS 002 VOCALS 003 VOCALS 004 VOCALS 005 VOCALS 006 VOCALS 007 etc...

1.) Would be cool if I could use the virtual "letter-keyboard" also when there's no mouse plugged in!

2.) A new and very very helpful Pad mode: "Part Solo"...
That would be amazing!!!!

Ok....Roland....

What is so great about having 1GB of ram and support for multi-samples but no compatibility with formats such as Akai?

Lets answer this in the Discussion forum
and keep this thread free for the list only.. ;-)

OH!
The G should have MIX IN on the audio track.. and not just SOLO and RESAMPLE..

so one can record what is being played on the fantom and external gear going to mix in just like you can when you are in the sampler.

Dude it seems you have some issues. This is a wishlist for future OS thread. I wasn't aware that only you could make a request. Me mentioning that the Fantom G isn't compatible with formats such as Akai (or even Roland), is informing anyone that listens, that this is a feature I would like to see added in the future. Can we get back on topic someday soon?

all i need is a way to mix down each track to separate files internally.
and a way to use live performance settings in the studio mode. they should improve on the studio mode.

Yes, and copying patches between Live sets, between Studios, or from Live to Studio. Or simply being able to duplicate a single part within a given Studio or Live. Lets say I want a second part with the same Strings that I use on another part, and only change octave or detune etc, to fatten my track a bit. I can't do this now, only manually. It's so simple το implement, why isn't it available yet?

External

External control with the 8 sliders will only send when you are actually on the EXTERNAL MIXER.

It would be great if this is also possible in Live Play. Please make it selectable/storeable if the volume faders control internal or external sounds (per Live set).

Ability for the user to import and use a text file which the Fantom G can read so that the external patch names display correctly (instead of just numbers) for the external device.
