Hi -
I just purchased a V Synth GT and wonder if the patches for previous V Synths can be loaded by the V Synth GT? If so, is there an online archive where I can download them?
I searched the Web and the download section of this forum but don't see them. I also notice on another thread that someone indicated this question is asked a lot, but a search of the forum yield nothing to me.
Any help to locate V Synth patche sets for download will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin.

You can get the V-Synth OS 2.0 patches for GT here:

I just got my GT yesterday. Fricken phenomenal. I look forward to meeting all of you here in the clan.
Anyway I'm a bit of a patch whore myself when it comes to my keyboards. My questions are:
Could a GT even load (and/or convert) patches from 1 and 1.5?
If so where can these patches be obtained?

Here are Version 1.5, but I'm not sure they'll load into a GT but it doesn't hurt to try...

Re: Vsynth 1, 1.5, 2 and XT patches for Vsynth GT?
Thanks Septimo,
I was able to convert these on the GT no problem. And for the most part they all seem to work pretty good. There are some as Cromio mentioned that don't work properly for various reasons. Some are good, some plainly don't work and some are very good tools for showing one how to program on this beast.

Hey, Kevin,
I just noticed your April posting. You already know what Korg's are in my rig. However, I have quite a bit of Roland gear as well - JD800, JD990, V-synth XT, M240 line Mixer, R8 Rhythm Composer. Now, I may have a chance to pick up the V-synth GT.
How are you finding the integration with your OASYS? Do you think I'd be going overboard with the GT?
Besides programing for the OASYS and M3, I'm thinking of adding the V-synths (V, XT, & GT) to my repertoire. What do you think?
Cheers,
Eric

Hi Eric,
I'm not Kevin but I know how you feel
)
The V-Synth goes really well with the OASYS,in fact they make a perfect couple. The V is so totally different.I'm thinking myself of getting another V.The reason why,is that I have so many different projects stored on cards which I want to use all at the same time, then there is the vocal card as well.In an ideal world I would have 3 or 4 V's.But 2 would be cool. The GT is great but it's abit too expensive for me at the moment and the classic V-Synth gives me all I need.So I will end up with 2 classic V's:)You can never have enough V's:))
So,yeah,go for it.

Re: Vsynth 1, 1.5, 2 and XT patches for Vsynth GT?
Hey, Synthia,
Long time no see. Yes, I'm very tempted. I have the XT, but I like the idea of layering and splitting. You know me with Karma-fied combis. While I'm in limbo waiting for my OASYS and M3 combi collections to get that extra special attention, I think I might get productive in this arena with the XT and GT. I may add the Sonic Cell as well. I've always enjoyed developing sounds for Roland gear, but I've never gone to market with them.
Cheers,
Eric

Yeah,I too love programming Rolands. The V is my favourite to program.I love doing voice samples and then mangle the hell out of them. Then add a nice drum groove and you get some cool unsual sounds.I reckon you will have some real fun with the GT.
I hope you find a GT soon:)
