I tried a wireless mouse with my G7 and it didn't work either. I think somebody did get a wireless mouse to work though. What I found out after getting a wired mouse which works is you don't really need a wireless mouse because a wired mouse does not inhibit the work flow in any way plus good luck on trying to find a wireless mouse to work at all with the FG.

The wired mouse I have is a Logitech LX3 Optical Mouse. There are no batteries to worry about and change, as is the case with wireless mouses, and since the Logitech LX3 uses advanced optical precision it is a real joy to use and it also has a very comfortable grip.

PS: You want to make sure the mouse you get is Plug N' Play and doesn't require any driver.

I am using a 5 year old Logitech cordless that works fine. I can not locate the model number anywhere. I think it is a MX™700 Cordless Optical Mouse.

Sometimes I have to press the connect button on the base (that plugs into the Fantom USB mouse port) then use a pen to press the (very small) connect button on the mouse.

Kensington's wireless USB trackball ("Expert Mouse Wireless") works fine. Wacom's "Graphire" graphics tablet/optical mouse does not. I would much prefer an "absolute" pointing device like the Wacom for use with the G.

Logitech G7 cordless does not work.
I'm using a laptop small one instead now.

I grabbed 3 of an earlier version of this Philips travel mouse for something like $5/ea at wholesale place last year. They work great with the G and my laptop since they don't have any goofy drivers, and are ultra-portable for easy packing.

It's been a long time since I've used an apple mouse but, aren't they missing the right button? It comes in pretty handy with the G.

EDIT: Forgot to mention... I'm using a Logitech trackball, and it works great!

I just bought one of those little Microsoft cordless mice and it doesn't work. I have an old USB trackball around here somewhere that might do the trick though.

Mexico, all Apple Mice since around 2006 come with two buttons, although you can't see them by design.

Good to hear that, cuz that right button saves some time on the G, and so does a scroll wheel. I borrowed a trackball sans scroll wheel for a while, and I had to go buy one with the scroll wheel cuz I kept trying to reach for it.
