Maybe now some of these naysayers can stop posting bad reviews.

I am quite sure I am not the only one..and roland doesn't want a mass return of their flagship keyboard ..imo
This is very good news indeed! I was one of the ones that took my Fantom G(7) back because of the OS being incomplete and buggy. Maybe Roland had to see that people weren't going to put up with this kind of guff from them i.e. "releasing a new Flagship Workstation before the OS was finalized" and when they saw people returning the G in substantial numbers they apparently have taken notice of that fact and kudos now to them for getting fixes and "enhancements" already on the table in short order. :) That is very impressive! Not as impressive as having a completed product upon release of course ;) but I am glad Roland is working hard to get their flagship on a steady course to be the outstanding first class keyboard workstation that they intended it to be all along. :) That, my friends, is what you call "great" support and great customer service!

If this news is indeed true and we see the updates in a week like it has been said, I will gladly reconsider the Fantom G again! In fact, I might even get another G7 before the months out. :D And when this news gets out about Roland reaching out to their customers by actively supporting the Fantom G with these quick OS updates many more people who returned their Fantom G's will do an about face once they see Roland is coming through for them by aggressively supporting the Fantom G and will also seriously reconsider getting the Fantom G again as well, in my opinion. I'm sure Roland is thinking upon the same lines too. ;)

If it's true then great! Let's not start patting Roland on back just yet.

I would feel confident that Roland is releasing an update. They already have updated the Sonic Cell a few months after the initial relese (with a major fix being the ridiculous low number of songs you could have on a USB key- not it is 399). I imagine the G update will be here (plus- at the Calgary roadshow- the presenter did mention that if anyone had any suggestions on the G to tell him as they were working on an update already for it).

I thought Monty Python had already done a film on "the meaning of life" in 1983... ;-)

Hi Cix,

Any chance that Roland will overhaul the EFX routing on the Fantom G?
As it stands, I can't setup/control a distorted B3/Leslie patch.
IMO, This is a significant oversight... and is why my beautiful new G7 is currently boxed up (ready to return).
