Roland G - When is it shipping?

Things have not improved THAT much since your KS-32! I still miss Ensoniq workstations and hope to grab a TS-10 someday. For the moment they are in demand and go quickly and for high prices. I had an SQ-1+ and still think it would be acceptable now. Some things have gotten better but these were still great workstations. The Fantom G will be a great choice. For myself, still undecided on whether to get it.

I preordered a G6 a few days ago.
I've been using a Ensoniq SD-1 since 1991 without any real problem.
No plans to sell it off yet.
I'm not crazy about learning a new OS but I look forward to having so much power in one unit.

My poor old KS-32 still has some good sounds. Not to mention the tons of SYSex files i got. Learning a new OS will be an adventure to say the least.... Got some of my old stuff up on www.appmus.com

Hard to say if it's sound better than a X because I didn't heard one for real.
But what I can say is it sounds great, very punchy. MadaHorn, I know you love big brass sounds. I am afraid that you will be a bit disappointed. Synth brass are just enormous but you are far from Phoenix Horns with the real ones

That's why I bought the SRX-10 last week as well as a Fantom XR....

Yes in Seattle. Guitar Center has it. I want to try it out with my headphones. I don't know if I'll buy it from them. RMC quoted me a pretty nice price online. For now I'll check it out and see if it's for me.
