Few questions about GT and Macbook compatibility
So I've had my GT for around 6 months now and I feel I'm about ready to start using to produce some music. So far I've only been using it as a stand-alone instrument to give myself the time to learn how to tweak sounds and so on. My current PC is a POS lol.. so I'm not even thinking of hooking up my V to that, so I want to buy a new computer (Ideally a macbook pro). I've read through a few pages here and there seem to be some issues regarding compatibilites between the two. My only plan is to use Logic to capture the audio and midi straight out of the GT and not actually "import" anything. Will I have any problems doing this? Do I need to pick up an audio interface etc etc?

Also wanted to ask if 4GB of ram is perfect for running Logic/GT or if getting that much is overkill. 2GB also good enough?

There were some issues with USB storage mode not working with USB 2.0 ports, but audio/MIDI seems to work fine for everyone. My only plan is to use Logic to capture the audio and midi straight out of the GT and not actually "import" anything. Will I have any problems doing this? Do I need to pick up an audio interface etc etc?
This is storage memory, for saving your projects. 2 GB card will hold about 32 projects with the maximum project size (64 MB), and I think this is just enough (even a 1 GB card will do if you don't plan to use tons of very long samples). Also wanted to ask if 4GB of ram is perfect for running Logic/GT or if getting that much is overkill. 2GB also good enough?

Thanks Artemio. About the ram.. sorry I should clarify. I meant the ram of the computer and not as a card. As in for processing speeds for logic etc.
Re: Few questions about GT and Macbook compatibility
Agh, I see. Well, I have 2 GB in my iMac and it rarely goes above 1 GB, 1.5 GB max filled a few times. Mac OS X is really great at keeping things clean (one if it's many great aspects). But if you'll be doing lots of audio tracks, 4 GB would be a good choice since you won't need to upgrade it in future.
