get roland to Fix the GT (all v users) act NOW!

Post by Quinnx. »

I have seen how dissapointed people are that the current V GT
has no sample/patch import
no OSC copy
no Zone copy etc..
all which appear on the V and XT

WOULD YOU LIKE THESE IMPLEMENTED??

YES!? CALL -> +44 (0) 1792 702701
and tell them
i suggest everyone call the same number
Roland will do nothing unless you push.
today would be a good day because there manager is in japan right
now.. so DONT THING CALL NOW!

Now the ball is in your hands and the opportunity only comes once.
do noting (get nothing)

I think it's safe to assume that we wont be seeing any os update for the V-Synth GT until the new Fantom is out..

The boys and girls at Roland are probably VERY busy finishing up the Fantom, but after that...

Remember, the original V-Synth got updates all the way up to 2.0. No reason to believe that it won't happen with the GT!

For a flagship product, now released at last years winter NAMM, the omissions are unacceptable and make Roland look VERY unprofessional.

it's safe to assume

Sitting back in wait for something to happen allow roland to make the excuse...
"no one else has complained"

Which is what i hear all the time because its seems im the only one calling them an pushing on these issues?

Assume???
What are you on.. ?
Assume nothing
Call them
find out what there doing
make sure there doing it
and if not why not
and tell them what you want

Personally, even though I had saved up the cash, I decided not to purchase a GT when I finally got my hands on one. I kept my original V-Synth because I prefer it in almost every way to the GT. I put some of my savings into a Prophet 08 instead and spent the rest on recreational drugs and partying.
I win! :)

It wasn't released at Winter NAMM 2007, it was announced. They demoed an unfinished prototype.

I believe the first batch of V-Synths GT hit the stores around july that year, at least in Europe.

Hey Quinn....What? No recreational drugs and party for you with the saved loot ? ;)

I knew there was nothing in the GT for me, so I stayed with XT...for what I need it, it's more than enough..The GT could not possibly do me any good...

The same is with the new G...for an X owner the G is the same dog with a different collar.

Has there been a thread devoted to finding the consensus requests ?

Also, once the consensus is found, to narrow by applicability ?
Obviously, Sample/patch import is high on everyone's list.

One thing I wished for when the GT was 1st announced was applying AP-Synthesis to user-PCM oscillators, and I doubt this is very applicable. LOL

But we should approach this like any other problem, and deluge Roland only once a consensus is met, so the team will be able to focus on the fewest # of important issues.

Who's with me?

I'm with most of us here. I kept the GT for only 45 days (max allowed before returning). Until they offer a very big patch / upgrade with more functionality, I just won't deal with it. Not only this.. they need to get USB Storage mode compatible with Mac OS 10.5 right away!

IF they upgrade it, I don't think anyone is going to get in my way running to the music store to buy one.

How many others want individual panning per oscillator ?
Maybe I'm missing this feature in an obvious oage?
I remember asking about this shortly after the GT was announced at NAMM ?
