Well... up until now I just made my tracks on the fantom. Then recorded the whole thing out of the fantom into a stereo track in pro tools.
I recently sold a beat and the guy wants each track separate in a pro tools session.
Is there anywway I can synch up pro tools and the fantom, so when I press record on protools, fantom starts playing automaticallly. This is would make the track synching process much much much easier...
I am supposing , if it is possible, that it involves midi...
how would i go ahead and do this? I need help ASAP! thank you so much in advance
Oh, on another note... which source should I use on my mbox for tracking out my fantom? (line or instrument?)
thanks

Re: how to synch up Fantom X and Pro Tools...
i need help with the same thing, usually i get the "read the manual" response, but when i try i never understand what the hell they are saying, its understandable tho, its like trying to teach someone how to speak chinese in one hour. But if anyone has the patience, i think we both would appreciate it.

help please...
I just need to know how to control the fantom sequencer with protools!!!!
I searched for answers but I still dont get it that well...
I have to make the fantom the "slave" but how do you do that?? (I chose the fantom as the slave in the system but there are many options. You can choose between Slave MTC or Slave MIDI, and there are a bunch of things you can change.... Im confused!)
And how do you make pro tools the master? so i can control the fantom, and everything I do in pro tools is synched with the fantom...
please help!
