Some patches for you all.

Post by philicorda »

Hello.
Here is a collection of VA patches I have made.
They are for the V-Synth version 2 OS. It does not matter which sample set you have installed, as all the patches are virtual analog.

There are 72 of them, ranging from the useful to the pointless.
There are a couple of attempts at physical modeling (019, 063) , and quite a lot of brass/string sounds.

It would be cool to make a whole 512 patch bank of VA patches. Any sound donations appreciated. :)

Get it them here: (48kB zip file)
http://www.mediafire.com/?7i1ldni9ugf

The same file should hopefully be an attachment to this post too.

Unzip and copy the project folder to your V-synth.

Artemio -

How do I access the Clan downloads section? The 'Jump To' pull-down menu doesn't list it (maybe add it there?).

Interesting... so many people here do not even know the site exists. Click on the Roland Clan logo above this page ;-)

To anyone else interested, here's the link:

http://rolandclan.info/en/materials/v-synth/

Perhaps the reason that so many aren't aware of this resource has to do with the name of the page - I'd suggest changing it from 'Materials' to 'Downloads'.

I've got to stop these double posts =( I think it is my wireless access point and the fact that it is on the other side of the house..

Thanks for putting them on the site, Artemio.

One last thing... The touch pad, d-beam and two assignable controller knobs are not assigned anywhere on quite a few of the patches, so don't be surprised if using them doesn't do anything. :)

I tend to assign them last, only if I can think of anything interesting to do with them. Or else it's laziness. I always have keyboard velocity routed to lots of places right from the start though.

Cool patches! Thanks for posting. Most of them aren't something I would use, but it's VERY interesting to hear what other people come up with using the same synth. Your patches are definitely unique and worth checking just to figure out how you did something. At least half of your patches, I'd look to see there wasn't some sample at the source of the sound, see their wasn't, and then be puzzled as to how you did the patch. Again, thanks for posting them. Great work.
