MarkShovel please,

I'm looking for a stand alone midipatchbay which can run both with or without a computer. Something like M-audio midisport 8x8, so I'm not asking just for fun. With your gigantic setup in mind I'm sure you have some experience on the subject.

Regards

Midi Patchbay

Post by MarkShovel »

I could not locate the M-Audio 8x8 midi patchbay. It seems to have been removed from their web page.

I picked up a used MOTU Midi Micro Express. It is a four in and six out device.

They also have 8x8 units and some of them include extended time sync functions.

There is a software application "Clockworks" that lets you configure the patchbay via USB.

The M-Audio, I think, is discontinued but here it is on the web: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/M ... -main.html

I will look into the MOTUs.

Thanks
