Transfer favorites/performances to XR

I have a Fantom X7 and just purchased an XR. Can I transfer all of my favorites and performances set up in the X7 to the XR? What is the procedure for this? I plan on keeping the X& at home and use the XR live with a controller.

The easiest way is:

1. Connect your X7 to the computer in USB storage mode, copy the "ROLAND" folder to your computer.
2. Connect the XR the same way and copy the "ROLAND" folder from the computer onto it.

But if you want to be sure you do not loose any system settings, use the Librarian software to first get the performances and patches from the X7 and then get them into the XR. Read more here: http://rolandclan.info/media/documents/ ... oading.pdf.

Thank you Artemio. So basically what you are saying then is that you are in theory, cloning the X7 to the XR?

Yes, the ROLAND folder has everything that defines what's in the instrument's user bank and the system configuration.

Thank you...worked like a charm. I do have another issue. I am trying to control the XR from a Behringer FCB1010 controller. I can program the controller to call up Performances 1-64 without a problem. What is happening though is that when I program footswitches to call up individual PATCHES, the XR will not change to Patch mode and access the patches.

It tends to simply change the patches in the currently selected Performance. The FCB can send 2 cc and up to 5 pc messages but also tends to send the program changes before the control changes except with PC5 switch.

In the XR does the Patch Mode RX Ch need to be on a different channel than the Performance Ctrl Ch?
