RAM board doesn't fit. ARRGHHHHHHH
Just got me some RAM(PC 133),and the frigging thing won't fit-(the indentations on the DIMM board are too high for the white locking clips to pass over).Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything i can do,or have i just blown £40:-(
In the manual it says the expansion memoery boards should be 38mm in height or less;is this where i've f***ed up?

Lift RAM.
Rotate 180 degrees.
Lower RAM.
Just covering the obvious, I just dug a spare 128mb stick out of a box and stuffed it in no problem.

Yep,
Typically ECC memory has a few extra chips on there causing the DIMM to be a bit wider.

ECC non-ECC...it's all double dutch to me!All i know is that it's a 168 pin,sdram,dimm,pc133 board.

Yowzer!!I've got the sucker in!
Re: RAM board doesn't fit. ARRGHHHHHHH
Was it just a matter of not having pushed hard enough to seat the board properly? If you do this sort of thing infrequently, it is really hard to judge the proper amount of force.

did you try to use hammer?
simple tool, but it helps sometimes.

Ahh yes. When I upgraded my XR and X8, the board actually bent a little while I was getting the damn thing in. Scared me to death but it did go.
Glad it worked out for you.
