What's on the SRX CD's?

Hello,

There are a couple SRX expansion modules on ebay that I've been looking to get my hands on (05, 08, 09). They come with everything but the CD, which seems to be holding them down in price a bit.

My question is, what exactly comes on these CDs and how useful are they? Sorry but I couldn't find it on the Roland-US site.

Just demosongs and updates. (that are old) You dont need the CD

And no patches from the original SR-JVs?

Yes. There are also a file that reproduces the original Patches and Rhythm Sets used in the SR-JV80 titles. (SRX-06,07,08 and 09) I have tried these patches, and i dont think their different from the SRX-patches. I think SRX patches sounds better.

Thank you for your reply. I'd say, the CDs give you more patches to choose from.

Uh? I've bought three SRX expansion boards brand new in the last few months and never had a CD in the box, just the little board, a free srewdriver and the patch list pamphlet. Do Roland include CD's in countries other than the UK then?

well, both cards went a bit higher than I wanted to pay, so I'll just wait for the next ones to pop up. Since I don't even have my X6 yet, I'm not exactly in a big hurry;)

I got my SRX cards in Norway, and only my SRX-06 came with a CD. I think only SRX cards with sound from SR-JV80 titles came with CD-rom. (SRX-06,07,08 and 09)

I don't about regional differences, but I've seen the SRX-05 Ultimate Dance on ebay and most of those come with a CD.
