This looks like the same group that did the Uniquest software that goes with a D50 VC-1 card.
It looks like they are planning VST editors for V-synth and VariOS

And no Im not trying to help sell this for anyone, it's just as a VariOS owner I think it would be great to control it with all the bell whistles of a modern DAW. Im planning to get one of their products for another Synth so Im gonna ask how things are going on the V-Synth and VariOS versions.
A few emails from interested users of either synths might hurry the developers along - considering the Uniquest software for the D-50 already talks to the V-Synth and VariOS this shouldn't be hard for them to impliment...

Looks like a great product. Something that Roland ought to have done already, but they never did.
I would certaily buy one. Thanks for the info.

Somehow they've managed to create an excellent interface with the controls and the LCD... Not sure why a software interface which limits you to editing one parameter at a time would be better.

Totally agree with you Artemio. The very fact that you don't need software at all for using the V-Synth is one of its major selling points.
Personlly, I couldn't care less about a software editor.

I guess the V-Synth not being a rack mount piece of gear (unlike my fav problem child the VariOS) it would only be a must have if your using a lot of VST's or something like NI's Kore already. An integration/management type of thing. As much as you can do from the interface I'm sure there's a few things you could send the unit from a DAW that would do something you can't access from the interface
I'm not a keyboardist type performer. I write Drum and Bass so while performance is important DAW automation is essential to control and evolve with what is a fast and highly syncopated form of music. If i could tweak 174bpm 1/16th triplets in real time Automation wouldn't be needed
Of course if your good at Sysex commands you could keep pumping out the data...

Re: Like to edit your V-synth VariOS from a VST?
Might be useful for total recall. For example, you load up a song you worked on last month and the patch and all the tweaks you used are instantly sent to the VSynth. Now admittedly this would be way more useful if the V-Synth were a true multi-timbral device, but I still like the idea because I hate farting about with Sysex dumps.
